This project consisted of the construction of a 4000 linear feet of non-licensed vehicle road on the 5th runway at Hartsfield - Jackson International Airport, Atlanta GA. The scope of work included the removal of vegetation and grading for the road. Finally the road was built out of asphalt over a 6 inch soil cement sub base layer.
This project was considerably complex, as debri needed to be control in order to avoid jet engines to be damaged. Moreover, working inside the airport has to be done with constant coordination with the Airport's operation in oder to avoid any disrruption to its normal operation. Security coordination is key when working at the airport as all work needs to be performed in compliance with all security measures stablished by the Airport in order to avoid a possible security breach.
